Hp Washing

This black friday, nexon had a sale of ap resets in packages of 3 for 5k (usually 3.3k each) so I bought a lot with the intent of hp washing. This page will be where I put all that data.

First off, what is hp washing? Hp washing is the process of taking advantage of Maple Story’s AP setup (glitch perhaps? who knows) in which hp and mp are put together in the same pool/category. Because of this, hp washing requires one to put an ap into hp when he levels up and then use an AP reset (bought from cash shop) to take a point out of mp and put it back into the AP that they originally intended it to go (In my case, dex).

Why hp wash? Archers are perhaps the most disadvantaged class in the game when it comes to hp. Warriors have a high load of hp, mages have lots of mp to magic guard with, thieves have high avoidability with cbs having meso guard. Hence, we tend to die easier/have more limitations on what we can/cannot do (Ie. we cant solo pianus till we’re really high level). The extra hp that we can get from hp washing can make the difference between being able to take an extra hit in everyday training or take one hit that we cant normally take at a boss.

How much hp do you gain from hp washing? It depends on how many times you hp wash. Each time you wash, you gain 15-20 hp. Its all up to luck how much you get each time so I suppose you can say its similar to scrolling, but there are no failures, just different levels of success.

Is there a limit to hp washing? Yes there is. Your mp is not allowed to go too low and there is a formula for it. The formula is 14xlevel+148 though it is inaccurate as people have often been able to wash one or two more times after that.

Is there a way to increase the number of times to wash? Yes and no. No as in you cant wash below that mp formula stated above (well, not beyond it too far) but yes as in you can wash more times if you have more mp. The more int  you have, the more mp you gain when you level so when you level, if you have INT gears on, you gain more mp. Is there proof? I have personally just started tinkering with it but without int gears, I gain 16 mp/level up on average whereas for the last 2 levels with int gear, I have gained 21 mp each level.

The statistics:

091 to 092: Hp gain: 24, Mp gain: 21  Hp washes: 12. Int: 52 (5 base int, 12 int earrings, 11 int cape, 5 int goblin bat, 5 int shield)

Can you clarify how (or why) you are doing more than 5 washes per level? I am washing 5 per level to reflect the 5 AP I get when I level: I add each of the 5 AP upon leveling to HP, then using the AP reset I take 5 points from MP to add back (to STR in my case).

Can you explain how you are able to wash more than 5 times per level? Is it because you are taking from MP to put into HP?

    Kind regards,

    Jools

Hmm I’m still a little confused by this. I would love to do this a bit but can’t mess up XD And another question… if the mp gain diferes by int equips, what if i were to wear str equips as I level, would that help hp gain per level?

Hey, I have a question. Is it the INT stat that increases mp growth? or is it the MAGIC stat? because INT increases the magic stat so they are correlated. However, M.Atk also increases the Magic stat, and if its the magic stat that increases mp growth, M.ATK also helps MP growth.
