The start of the baseball season
Its 7:30ish am PST and there’s 2 hours till class. Hard to believe, but throughout high school, I NEVER pulled an all nighter for school work, regardless of how heavy my workload was. Yet now, I pull an all nighter for…. baseball. That’s right, I stayed up all night to watch baseball!
Today was opening day in Baseball with a game played between my team, the Boston Red Sox and the Oakland Athletics. It started at 3 am PST (yes, 3 am x_X) as it was played in Tokyo, Japan. The game ended in extra innings with my Red Sox winning 6-5 due to poor base running and a blown save by their closer. I was so tired that by the end of the game, I was going “I dont care who wins, just end so I can sleep” but by the time they ended, it was 7 am, meaning I had to leave for class in an hour or so so I didnt bother sleeping. Best thing is? They’re playing at 3 am tomorrow again! Two nights in a row of no sleep! kidding, I’ll just keep track of the score when I wake up.
Though I havent been on maple, I have still been keeping track with the going ons in game. Scania has now killed four horntails but the surprising thing is, Horntail has been killed in Khaini as well! The problem is… no one knows who killed it, lol, meaning its probably a bunch of hackers who had too much time on their hands. My suggestion to all this is to have something similar to zakum, with a squad leader. When horntail is defeated, the name of the leader is included in the nifty blue notice that everyone sees. If the leader dcs or dies, then that position is passed onto someone else. After all, most people know the legit horntail runs from the illigit ones and can tell the difference. Having the igns will make it easier to distinguish.
Tespia: Nothing new. I stick to my beliefs regarding the issue: If its coming back up, it’ll happen during the next SC time period as after all, who expects Nexon to work on weekends/holidays? If it comes back up, it will be the same group of testers and will remain the same group unless they announce a new sign up on their site.
Video status: Im working on it D: Ive been thinking long and hard on it in regards to what G4 has said regarding it and on themes in general. What message am I trying to send? How do I go about sending a message? How important is the message? What has made my videos stand out? How are videos in general (not just ms ones) put together and held together and how can that be incorporated into my video? I believe that ideas will come to me sooner or later and that just trying to push or force something together wont work so the time line for my video is unknown. Its basically whenever a good idea appears I suppose. Looking on sleepywood, this video seemed the most meaningful of the latest batch of approved videos there. How will this affect my video? That’s all for now, lets hope Im not so tired that I fall asleep on the bus and miss my stop. Last time, I ended up in another suburb/city and had to walk for an hour in the rain looking for a bus stop to get home x_X

Is Tespia Returning?
According to this thread on sleepywood, Tespia might be back soon (http://sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1413273)
I personally hope it is so as I enjoyed it pretty thoroughly. It seems a few points are up for debate regarding the return of Tespia. Here are my opinions on them:
Will new testers be chosen? I personally believe it will be the same group. If a new group were to be chosen, they’d have everyone sign up again on the website. It wouldnt be fair for those who hit 50 in the last 2 weeks and for those in the old pool who’ve quit, it would mean wasted spots. I believe that if new testers were to be chosen, there will be a new sign up that will be announced on the maple website with signing up again required.
Will those who tested have their characters erased? I believe it wont, regardless of what others have been saying.
Its not a question of whether or not those who got chosen will be back in, its whether or not it will come back up altogether. If it comes up within the next few days, I say this group’ll get in again. However, if it comes up 2 weeks from now and there’s a new notice on the website asking for signups, then our time is up and it’ll be all up to luck again. Hopefully Tespia will be back soon and you’ll see updates on that from me. Till then…

Is it over?
Earlier today, while on Tespia, I along with everyone else dc’d and upon trying to log back in, it says that we’re already logged in and that we cant get in. Is this the end of this wave of tespia? I dont know but this post will be written as in assumption that is indeed over. I have no idea whether it is or not, but I will assume it is…

k, so I havent updated in up to a week as Ive been really busy with school (1 quiz, 1 in class paper) and church (2 Music group practices, 1 pre-study, 1 Bible Study) so I’ll clump in a whole update here now:

Content Testing update
So I had class till 3 pm pdt (as I live in in Vancouver, so PDT = my time) and by the time I bus home, its around 3:45 to 4 pm. So I get home expecting to patch, just to realize the release time got delayed for an hour and a half. I suppose I shoulda predicted it, with their constant delays on server checks and patches but I guess Im somewhat disappointed. Oh well, an extra hour and a half wait wont kill me.
I’ve been thinking of names and characters that I’d want to choose in this beta and my choices would be in this order (a top 3)
1. Bishop (always wanted to try genesis and they’re always useful at bosses and whatnot, which will be out in the server)
2. Bow Master (Archer pride, just cause, perhaps to get 120 video footage, testing to see if MB glitch is still in)
3. Shadower (I like dropping mesos and fake/smoke shell is fun when I play on my friend’s 153 shadower)
Classes Im staying away from: Night Lords (just cause there’s some form of internal competition between myself being a bow master and night lords for some reason), Dark Knights (same thing), Other mages (Their summons look ugly in my opinion, sorry if I offended anyone) and permabeginner (seriously, if Im going to spend my time on a test server being a perma beginner, I have no life >_>)
This leaves two classes that I might make: Paladin and Hero (in that order). Paladins for their holy/other elemental attacks and heroes just for the heck of it (no reason).
One may ask, why am I only listing 4th job classes? Wont it be hard to level it to that level? My response to that is that on the items listed for testing, Horntail is there, so I figure that if Horntail is to be tested, there has to be a way to level extremely fast or else by the end of the week, if everyone is only 10x, then the horntail testing would be pretty pointless. So Im either expecting say 100x exp or that npc they had in other test servers that you just click and level up to 150 or something like that.

I’ve been chosen for content testing!
This was just pure lol. So the list for the content testing is released (link here to check if you made it: http://maplestory.nexon.net/?PART=/News/Event&mode=view&uid=142&bbsidx=1388) and after trying ctrl + f ing all the forum names I thought I could be using, I found nothing. So I decided to log into the 3 accounts I signed up on: My archer, my sister’s hermit and my hs mule. Then came the question of where I’d find the forum id and after many failed attempts, I decided to just post on the thread/notice congratz and see what it was. Doing so on my character and my hs mule produced no results with obvious forum ids (Retalion and AngelAri) but my sister’s hermit’s forum id surprised me: AznLoner. Where the hell did she ever guess that? So after that, I used the ctrl + F function with that login id and was surprised and amused…
RC update and random ilbis + Level 123
Retalion Chronicles have been updated. A new character has been introduced, who is it? ;O
So right after my post Thursday, I went pap again and found another curl. Heh, apparently its not so rare after all. It wasnt that we were lucky, its just that after the server check, the curl finally started dropping properly.
After papping, I went to the viking quest to get more fame (222 is low, it looks like a haxor D:) and I’d be lying if I said Ive never thought of this before, but… I totally never expected it to happen:

RC Update + Pap curl
Nothing much’s happened since I last posted. Retalion Chronicles have been updated and in the story, Im finally a hunter, lol.
I went pap last night and saw my first pap curl (For boss hunter equips, I can make an overall that adds 100 hp, and has 5 str 5 dex and 10 slots).
and… yeah. I got to 50%
Oh, and training at that skele/jr. newtie map without dragon breath hurts. I wasted 1000 pops in 2.5 hours. I recommend you stay away from there and just go to the normal jr. newtie map x_X
Nothing much more to say so I’ll leave it here.

Edit: oh, yeah… Time spent on video so far: 6 hours. Actual video time: 40 seconds. Apparently this laptop’s mic sucks like 10 times more than the last laptop’s so I spent 3 hours trying to use editting software to no avail… gg >_>

Late update on whatever
Gah, Sundays are always so busy for me so I’ve decided to change my entry dates to Monday and Thursday. I had 3 meetings this weekend (1 canceled) and had to teach piano on Sunday as well (again, canceled). On top of all that, Im not feeling very well as my doctor has said I have eczema >_>
So on Saturday, I was planning on leveling so Fab (Joliyrancher), Yong (DyingSpear) and I figured I might as well do it at pap. Problem was, while on the ludi boat, Yong fell asleep, so we figured I’d try going without hb.
