So a friend let me try his 123 bow master in Khaini today (I tried tracking you Josh but you were offline and I forgot how to spell the igns of those other khaini archers who post on my blog D:) so I’ll give me VERY fragmented opinion on archer 4th job as…

 1. The equips on there were unscrolled (for some unknown reason >_>)

2. It was only 123 so there were limited skill points

3. The pots it had on there were not what I was used to using

The equips were unscrolled so the damage my ranger would be doing at 123 would be very different from my friend’s. In fact, I think the damage range he has at 123 with 6 advanced mastery might be similar if not lower than mine at 110 (No offense Royce xD). In short, I lost 18 weapon attack (from bow, glove, cape),  70ish dex (bow, overall, shoes, cape, earrings, helm) and 17 strength (helm, shoe loss, +1 strength gain in terms of overall).

The skill build was peculiar to say the least so I wont be able to comment on Sharp Eyes or Maple Hero as he put points into neither. As for what he had, it was 6 advanced mastery, 1 phoenix and 4 SoA with the last point going into Bow Mastery (>_>) as it wasnt maxed.

The potions he had on there were pure waters and ice cream pops. Whereas the mp pot heals less than Im used to, the hp pot heals a lot more and as the leafre monsters I went around trying out skills on did below 1.8k, then I was constantly overpotting or when I tried to take 2 hits before potting on weaker attacks, I would almost die as I was not used to the no potting during SoA idea.

In my little stay, I noticed that low leveled SoA, though weak gets annoying, to the point that half way through exploring, I just switched to strafe for the heck of it as it could actually flinch monsters and whatnot.

Advanced Mastery is passive so I cant really comment on that as I dont know the damage difference that would be there without and with, however I will say that it wasnt much difference in comparisson to my own archer because of all the stats I lost. The little bit extra in mastery is canceled out by the equip gap.

Phoenix I found COMPLETELY USELESS and not only useless, but it was a liability at times. Sure extra damage is nice, but it would often hit monsters Im not trying to hit yet, leading to having massive amounts of monsters after me that I didnt want, which led to even more pot wasting. As well, with phoenix out, I couldnt use hawk, which I find MUCH more useful as stun saves me pots and makes it easier for me to attack monsters. Overall, a complete waste of a skill point in my opinion and I personally will not get it till other things such as Maple Hero, Sharp Eyes, SoA and Advanced Mastery are near maxed. How’ll I do my skill build? Im not sure yet. I’ll just wait till I get to 120 and make it up as I go. Another installment of Laptop story will probably be put up this weekend its more bullshit from Best Buy most likely so look forward to that (or not).
