In order of importance, I shall talk about birthdays first. In no specific order, I will like to wish Byron (SBelmont) and Melv (ShadowClawz) both very happy birthdays. Yes, they’ve both turned a year older on the wonderful day of July 20th. If you’re in Scania and you see this, please whisper them and wish them a happy birthday. =]

And of less imprtance, my own character. So, I’ll let you all take a flash back to Retalion. So, OMS has just come out, and this little archer named Retalion. So… at the time, dark leatties dropped blue moons and a very naiive and hopeful archer decided to hunt for them starting level 31 when he finally decided to brave Ossyria. There he made a friend named Seng, who he is still friends with today =O. Anyways, this archer Retalion, he spent 1 month at dark leatties and in that 1 month went from 31 to 40, but to his disappointment, he didnt find any blue moons.

So, no back into the present, ALastReprise was 31 last Friday and this time, instead of taking a month to get to 40, it took 5 days. Not many observations to be had as I merely planted myself in a zombie lupin tree and got on a friend’s priest to leech myself but I will say this: Zlupins are good money, the drops npc for a lot and cursed dolls sell for 500 mesos each. If you can somehow keep away teleporting clerics or hasted bandits who pick on poor, soloing archers, then by all means give these a try. The xp rate was great for me (65%/hr at 36, 60%/hr at 37, 55%/hr at 38, 45%/hr at 39, 30%/hr at 41) but hey, the priest 1hkos these things. My archer takes around 2-3 hits at level 41 so its plausible to train here and perhaps worth a try. It might not be at the rate I was getting but still worth it. After all, you’re 3 Shinkitas and a Rower or two away from an extra 1 mill =] And… here’s the screenshot to make the post look slightly more interesting xD

 PS. This comment is for Josh (B0wJob) and Goggy and whomever else it may apply to. I have seen that my blog is linked to yours and I thank you for giving me this honor. However, I have a small request. I do realize these are your blogs and that you can do as you see fit so I will simply put this out there, but you are in no way obligated to do as I want. My request is that the word “legend” be taken out as that’s not what I was. I was merely your average maple player who just so happened to get to the level of 129. There was no legend involved there and I was never at a legend status. Not many people even in my server Scania knew of me but I will say this: Those who I did get to meet, I tried to be as good of a person as I could in reflection to my beliefs and I hope that was the impression I was able to leave. I never was a legend and to be called one would be calling me something Im not. Again, this is merely a request, you can do as you see fit. However, this is just what I feel on the topic and thanks for reading this.

 Thoughts on 1st job. I realized the skill builds I posted were a bit misguided after trying it myself. Something I noticed was that I gave Eye of the Amazon way too much importance. Don’t get me wrong, it is important, just not as important as I thought it would be. At lower levels, your need to shoot monsters from a far distance is not that great. Its just that I feel now that critical and double shot are more important. I tried training with maxed critical and eye of the amazon at seahorses and it didnt work as I had to shoot manual, single weak arrows. I would now recommend something along these lines: 10 DS, 20 Critical, Max DS, 3 blessing, Max Eye.

Another thing I seem to have forgotten was the number of ksers at Ant Tunnel I, lol. Not a very pleasant experience. I was getting 60%/hr there at 25 though =O

 I know B0wjob has a thread about %/hr thingies so I’ll post all my %/hrs and he can take it from here. The lvl I started training at was 24.

 24-pigs (2 maps right of Henesys) 65%/hr or so

25-27-4th mushroom tree 75%/hr at 25, 70% at 26, 65% at 27

28- masks 60%/hr with a bow, 54.6% with xbow.

29/30- SeaHorses 75%/hr at 29, at 30, I got a bunch of numbers for research’s sake. 2.6%/3 minutes (52%), 63% with a crossbow (more attack), 66% with a bow, then 63% again with a bow again so… yeah. Around 65%/hr at seahorses at 29-30ish.

31-75%/hr at teddies

32-65%/hr at teddies

33-50%/hr at teddies

34-45%/hr at teddies

So, today I came home from Japan and I found out that a hacker had gotten into my ranger’s account, hacked it, deleted it and then took the name on a lvl 10 Windia character. Hmmm, at first, I would say that Im a bit disappointed as I had put a lot of hard work into that character and I was looking forward to making my 130 video.

I give the hacker credit, it took a lot of work on his part and he did it. First off, most of you know that my sw.net name is Jackthegreat. That’s also the login id of a mule and as I never was secretive of my b-day (June 5th), he just went trial and error and guessed the exact b-day (June 5th, 1989) and used that website exploit to get the pass for that mule. As its easiest to remember, I set the pass for all my mules the same so… that meant he had the pass to all my accounts and just needed the user name and pin. Its not that smart but my login id is my irl name so he was able to guess that, and from there, he manually cracked the pin, starting from 0000 all the way up to my pin, which was 5813. He then went in and hacked all the chars, then deleted them all and created and left there a char called “RIPRetalion”. As all my passes are the same, he then hacked my sw.net and posted a “quit thread” (http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1278664) impostering to be, then telling all in a post later on in the thread.

As for emotions, Im not really that mad. I feel bad for the guy more than bitter against him. Yes I feel slightly bad for my loss but whatever, I knew it was coming when he hacked the mule last year. It was just a matter of time. I usually change my pin regularly but I was in Japan from June 30th to July 8th so I really couldnt do that. I forgave him then, I forgive him now as he seems dillusioned and lost in life. As Ive said on my blog, he might be able to take away my account, but there are things he cant take away: My friends both in game and in real life, my talents and interest in composing and playing the piano and the memories Ive had in this game. Frankly, I’d of all I listed, the account really is what I would prefer to lose if I had to lose one of them.

One may ask “Why didnt you change your pass if you knew this was inevitable?” My answer to this is that my friend made the account for me and conveniently forgotten the secret question so I couldnt do anything about it. Ive tried guessing the secret question (WHere was I born) and none of my answers worked, even though I CLEARLY know where I was born, lol (Iono why, but I find that funny). 

 Hence, the end of Retalion is the beginning of ALastReprise, my new archer who will, I hope one day achieve what Retalion has achieved and even more. This blog will be used to keep the progress of this new project updated. As well, many have expressed their liking of the piano music I have composed in the 120 video of Retalion. Ive never said it before, but that section is just an exerpt from the full song. In the time to come, I will gradually release the full versions of all my composed music for those who want to to listen and download.

For those wondering, a reprise is a musical theme that is repeated again later on within a performance. That being said, “ALastReprise” is a name that I find fitting as I am firstly, a composer of music. As well, it represents the comeback I will attempt to make in recreating another ranger fit to bring pride to the name of this class.
